I am a portraitist and wildlife photographer. I received my education at the Parsons School of Design in Paris, France. It was in the city of lights that I first laid eyes on the iconic works of legendary photographers Julia Margaret Cameron, Yousuf Karsh, Margaret Bourke White, Henri Cartier Bresson, Peter Lindberg and Dominique Isserman. Their mastery of composition and innate understanding of the interplay of light and shadow forever changed the way I see the world.

Paintings by Da Vinci, Monet, Van Gogh, Seurat, Degas, Millet, Vernet and countless less famous but equally awe inspiring artists gifted all of us with a lens through which to view the natural world with new eyes. Natural light always has the last word and reigns supreme as the ultimate teacher and storyteller. When light, shadow, subject and composition briefly align, as if stars in rare cosmic harmony, it is life altering. Photographers count these elusive and coveted images on less than one hand over a lifetime.
